- Once you've sent us your book, we’ll send it to our "blurbers" (we strive to get between 5-10 'blurbers' who'd love to read your book!)
- Authors can choose to provide a link to their free eBook or upload a PDF
- "Blurbers" will rate your book using our scoring criteria and then write a short (50 - 150 words) honest blurb
- We'll determine your overall rating based on each blurber's score
- If you're book scores a 4 or 5-star rating, you'll receive a Bedside Reading® badge
- We then create three impactful social media graphics with your book cover, badge and blurb.s for you to use on your website, Amazon product page, social media…etc..
- We'll create one reel of your book that you can use anywhere!
We take an average of our blurbers' ratings.
This determines the promotional elements your book receives from the Bedside Reading® Blurbs & Badges program.
Of course, while we want all of our authors to get a 4-5 star rating, our readers take this work seriously and only gives out 4 to 5 star ratings when they truly believe a book will do well in its selected genre and in the overall market.

We are open to all submissions for books published in 2020 - 2024, however books must be written in English.
While we understand you’ve poured your heart and soul into your writing, we cannot guarantee your book will receive a 4-star or 5-star rating.

You don’t have to have written ‘War and Peace’ to get a 4 or 5-star rating, You just have to have written a darn good book that’s been professionally edited.
Your rating relies on the following criteria: literary merit and worth, overall appearance, plot and character development, grammar, spelling, pacing, characters, and of course, book cover!
An overall rating from our team is calculated between 1-5 stars. We do not provide constructive feedback on your book. You will though get a copy of the overall book score and criteria.
When will I know what rating my book has been given?
Ideally, our turnaround time to receive what we’ve promised is between 3 to 4 weeks.
What do I get if my book gets a 1-2.99 star rating?
If your book receives an overall 1–2.99-star rating, don't worry. We want to see you succeed, so if want to revise your book within six months, you can resubmit at no additional cost. Unfortunately, we can’t provide a refund as we have already engaged our readers and administrative teams on your behalf.
Who creates the blurbs?
Your blurbs will be created by our readers and approved and given by Bedside Reading®. Your catchy and compelling “blurbs” that will grab readers’ attention, ignite their imagination, and make them want to dive in head first will look something like this:
