suzanne cochrane 5.0 out of 5 stars A required read ....for all ! Such an inspiring perspective into the life of a coach and the world of high school/college basketball. I could not help the flood of emotions that filled my being during many of the stories shared. Growing up In Queens, our family love of the Mets, and a current parent of Hills West children added to the emotions I felt. I enjoyed this book immensely. I have a new appreciation for the selflessness of a high school coach. That so many teens have and continue to be impacted by Coach Mitaritonna’s leadership and example is a blessing. The value of young people to know their passion, work hard, and to believe in themselves are only a few of the takeaways here. This book should be a required read for both students and parents ! Although not a coach I learned a few helpful concepts I can use in my leadership role at work- what an added bonus to a read I thoroughly enjoyed. At the end of each of our stories we leave a legacy-Coach Mitaritonna’s is creating one he can be extremely proud of.
