The Bedside Reading™ Program -

Bedside Reading places books by the bedsides in luxury and lifestyle hotels, as well as in the media. Established in 2017, our company works with every major publisher as well as independent publishers and self-authors.

Our philosophy is to take a layered approach to book marketing. We believe that an author is a brand. We work directly with each author to promote their book in a variety of media and with influencers each month. We promote each book 20 times/month. 

We provide media placement and media images for author's use. We consider ourselves a unique  "spoke" in an author's marketing wheel. 

The Program Step-by-Step:
1. Author submits their book to us via this link: Submit Your Book Title Here
2. Once a book is approved and vetted by our team, we submit the book (via an Amazon link) to our hotel partner.
3. When your book is approved by a hotel, we will notify you and discuss placement date. We will issue an invoice and provide shipping info and deadlines.

Next Steps
  • A professional photo of  your book will be taken along with the other titles for the month as part of our "Book Giveaway" promotion as well as other editorial stories.
  • We will submit the official final photo (which will include your book) to media outlets. We do not guarantee media placements, however, our media outreach has experienced great success in the past.
  • We will create and provide each author with our monthly press release as well as images the author can use for their marketing.
  • We encourage all authors and hotels to participate in social media, traditional media and  to collaborate as much as possible. The power of many is greater than the power of one, that's what social media is about.

Bedside Reading Overview
  • Book sampling in luxury and lifestyle hotels (authors/publisher provide books that are placed by the bedsides in our hotels)
  • During the summer we sample books at 10 hotels in the Hamptons and work with each hotel to promote each book
  • Each hotel promotes each book on their Instagram feed each month (Example:Mandarin Oriental NY, we love their 77K followers)
  • Media placement and giveaways (we work with Woman's World, First For Women, Hollywood Weekly, etc on a monthly basis providing books for giveaways (usually getting 65-124K women entering our book giveaways each month) 
  • Social Media (FB/IG/Linkedin)- We post every day, each author gets numerous posts each month
  • Paid Social Media (on Instagram) - Various packages include a paid promotion on Instagram
  • Influencers - We routinely send books out to bloggers, reviewers and book influencers
  • Book Signings/Book Party/Events -Authors who choose the higher-end packages are invited to join us a luxury hotel for party hosted by the hotel with invited guests (media and friends)
  • Podcast placements in hotels and being pro-active in social media  Podcasts will be placed in the in-room TV - on a dedicated channel and also available on a dedicated Bedside Reading Author Podcast Channel page on our website - Launching January 2020
  • Media lunches (intimate media lunches hosted by the hotel - invited authors dine with dedicated media) - Starting January 2020
